Common questions
What's the difference between Carbon and Ceramic tint?
Both options block 99% of UV rays. Carbon film provides approximately 45% heat rejection starting at $200+. Ceramic film offers superior heat rejection (~70%) and better optical clarity, starting at $450+. For Las Vegas heat, we strongly recommend Ceramic.
How long does window tint installation take?
Most vehicles take 1–3 hours depending on size and complexity. Sedans typically take 1.5–2 hours, SUVs and trucks 2–3 hours. We'll give you an accurate estimate when you call. You're welcome to wait in our lobby or grab lunch nearby.
Do you tint Tesla glass roofs?
Yes. We specialize in Tesla and EV window tinting, including panoramic glass roofs on Model 3, Model Y, Model S, and Model X. Our ceramic film is engineered for large curved glass and won't interfere with sensors or cameras.
What's your warranty?
Lifetime warranty against bubbling, peeling, cracking, and color change for as long as you own the vehicle. The warranty is honored at our shop and at any Solar Gard authorized dealer nationwide.
Is window tint legal in Nevada?
Yes — within limits. Nevada allows any darkness on the back side and rear windows. Front side windows must be 35% VLT or lighter. We install only legal-compliant tint by default and walk you through the law before any film goes on.
Can I drive my car straight after?
Yes. The film is fully adhered before you leave. You'll want to avoid rolling down the windows for 3–5 days while the adhesive fully cures, and you may see a small amount of moisture haze for a few days that disappears as it dries.
